News:
We are having a great time with our Animals 2X2 unit in science. We have been learning about fish in class. We had fun making our huge 3D goldfish. Please be sure to take a look at the pictures below!
Reminders/Important Info:
-Book orders will be due by Friday, May 25th .
-Friday, May 25th will be our walk-a-thon. Since it falls on a Friday, we would like to invite red class kids to come join us. They may meet us in the classroom at 2:40 with their parents. Collection packets will be due back on the day of the walk-a-thon.
-Monday, May 28th is Memorial Day. We will not have school on that day.
-Field Day will be on Tuesday, June 12th. We need lots of parent volunteers to come help take small groups of kids around the centers. Please let me know if you’re interested! We will also be inviting blue class kids and their families to join us for that part of the day. More information on times and meeting places will come out soon.
-Please join our class for our End of Kindergarten Family Picnic at the Park.
It will be on Tuesday, June 12th @ 4:30-6:00 at Fort Nugent Park. We’ll come together for something special at 5:30. Please bring a blanket, your own family picnic, and a white shirt to decorate (for the kids).

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms and grandmas! It was wonderful having you at our Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea. The kids were so proud. Please be sure to take a look at the pictures below.
Reminders/Important Info:
-As the weather gets nicer, please keep our school dress code in mind. No flip flops or spaghetti straps please. It’s also a great idea to put on sunscreen before school to protect that delicate skin!
-Operation Duct Tape is underway! Our school is taking donations for Relay for Life. If our goal is met, the kids will get to duct tape Ms. Shreck to the wall at the end of the year. Shhh… she doesn’t know about that!

Time is flying by in kindergarten! Last week we had some of next year’s kindergarteners come visit our classroom. It’s hard to believe time to start thinking about that! We have been busy getting ready for the tea party in class. We can’t wait to see you! Happy birthday to Levi! Welcome to the red class Steven!

Thank you to all of the families who came out for “Bring Your Parents to School Night!” I was just reading over your yellow forms and it sounds like you had a lot to celebrate and made some good year-end goals! I was also glad to see that everyone found the night to be a valuable use of their time. I’m sure you have heard about the snail science by now! We had fun painting bowls to make our own snails and having snail races last week. Please be sure to take a look at the pictures below.
